So, What's a Slow Jam Session? A Slow Session, or Slow Jam, is an environment where musicians can learn traditional pieces of music and play with others at a much slower speed. Session tunes are played at a rapid pace and most beginning level musicians need support in learning the tunes at a slow tempo. I started offering free Irish Traditional Slow Sessions in Charleston in 2004. At that time you couldn't find Old Time or Trad Irish musicians in Charleston and had to travel further North to find other players. I love all types of music and want to continue inspiring others, of all ages and levels, to gather together for the love of music. If you have an acoustic musical instrument and a love for playing music with others. I hope your will join us!
