I am a strong believer that everyone needs the experience of making music in their life. And, skilled musicians will always be needed in this World. As an individual, the reading and rehearsing of organized sound (music) helps you learn how to focus. Simply strumming chords on a string instrument, or randomly playing keys on a piano, can be a comfort during stressful times. Music study widens your awareness of other cultures, and time periods. Music connects the left and right brain functions better than any other discipline. That's why I love to share what I have learned about music with others. Music can be meditative and healing for adults and children - and we all need more of that. For older adults, who are living alone, it can help develop positive social connections, stimulate the brain, and exercise hand and eye coordination. Devoted music study supports the brain in analytical and tactile development. Whether you are beginning on your musical path, or returning to music, I would be delighted to be a part of your music experience and education! Dolly Paul, MA Charleston SC
The best thing you can do for yourself is to simply show up for opportunities. Don't deny yourself a chance. And take some time with God. God cares about you.
